Somesh Goyal
Somesh Goyal is a seasoned trekker, travel writer and photographer. He post graduated in Eng. Litt. and taught the same at a degree college in Haryana before joining the prestigious Indian Police Service in 1984. Somesh Goyal is a trained Commando and has worked with the Black cats(National Security Guard). He has also worked in Special Protection Group responsible for security of Prime Minister of India. Currently, Somesh Goyal is an Inspector General in Border Security Force. Somesh Goyal is a recipient of President's Police medal for Meritorious services and also for Distinguished Services.
Somesh Goyal has pursued photography as a hobby for the last about three decades. His interest was generally confined to nature and landscapes. A visit to Jim Corbett Park initiated him into wildlife. For his conservation work in the Sunderban delta, Somesh Goyal received the 2006 West Bengal state Wildlife Conservation award. |
