Syed Azher Qayoom

Born in Kashmir, considered to be the paradise on earth, being one of the most beautiful places on the planet, the valley is a perfect blend of snow capped mountains, crystal clear streams, perfect blue skies and magnificent lakes., all considered to be a photographer's paradise. Azher's photos came him knocking at his door.

He started shooting with his simple camera during his camping & skiing trips that he made. Soon got labeled as a "nature boy" and was repeatedly told that he was wasting his time and money by clicking landscape photographs. He then graduated to a more professional equipment.

Ladakh was his first destination a dream come true of sorts to visit a place just for the sole purpose of photographing its landscapes and beauty. He then went on to places like Leh, Nobra, Pangong Lake and Khardungla Pass. It has been three years now since he has been traveling to different parts of Kashmir and still discovers something new each day.

Azher feels very strongly about the different elements like the wind, sounds, smells, the relationship of mountains to nearby rocks, they are all integral to the photo. He urges the viewer to see what he sees and to feel what he feltas passionately as he does as he goes about taking his photographs. Azher lives in Delhi currently & sprints off to Kashmir at the slightest of provocation to capture his beloved land on camera.
